We put a little teaser up on the site a week before the release date and we got a good deal of interest. We planned to release the blend on October 5th, to coincide with the beginning of the CORPS expo in Richmond, where I had a lot of samples to circulate among the attendees. Due to the groundswell of excitement about the teaser, we made the decision to make Fusilier’s Ration available for pre-orders on the 3rd.
We’ve had a pretty good run since the introduction of BlackHouse after winning the 2011 Balkan Sobranie 759 Throwdown, but you folks have made that look tame. We had sent out an initial batch for tinning, which was received a couple of weeks ago. At that point, wiser minds said that we should send out a second load, just in case. All in all, we put together well over 200 tins for launch. The first run was gone before the release date, and by the time that today’s receipt of the second batch had occurred, they were all spoken for. We have double the initial amount already on its way for tinning. The response was so wildly strong that we’ve run out of one component. I hope to have plenty more shortly.
What I’m really saying is Thank You to all of the people who have so much faith in the Hearth & Home line that you wiped us out before the tobacco officially went on sale. We’re doing everything we can to earn that confidence . I hope that those of you who have orders pending can be patient for a bit. We’ll make sure that you get what you want; it just may take a little time. Thanks, again!
